Chiropractic

Traditional treatment in which small restrictions in the movement of spinal or extremity joints are identified and corrected using a specifically directed force.

An adjustment by hand is the most popular and traditional way of correcting these restrictions and often times the most successful.


Massage Therapy

A way to describe the therapeutic effects of massage therapy. "Deep tissue" massage employs a variety of techniques (trigger point therapy, myofascial release, etc) in order to release restrictions within or between different structures in order to relieve pain, improve range of motion, and increase bloodflow.

As a college athlete, Dr. Krok learned the immense benefit of chiropractic treatment for athletic injuries and rehabilitation. This led her to D’Youville College where she pursued her Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree, graduating magna cum laude with department awards. Dr. Joshua Rittenberg is the owner and operator of East Avenue Chiropractic P.C. He is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College with Honors, and a member of the Phi Chi Omega Honors Society. It is Dr. Rittenberg’s goal in life to provide the most comprehensive and evidence-based care to his patients, using gentle and effective Chiropractic techniques. Dr. Rittenberg treats patients of all ages with complaints ranging from headaches and TMJ problems, to shoulder injuries and herniated discs. He is able to explain complicated musculo-skeletal complaints in terms that allow his patients to feel empowered, so that they can be proactive partners in reaching their health goals. Jason served our country active duty in the US Air Force. After coming home in 2004, he received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from SUNY Brockport .

He struggled with chronic and debilitating neck and shoulder pain. When a close friend insisted he see a chiropractor and was introduced to massage therapy, Jason’s own wellness journey began. Through a series of yoga practices, weight loss, and intentional being he developed a passion for helping others through touch.

In 2019, Jason graduated from Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in Rochester, NY. With great appreciation for how the body’s many systems interact, and his own journey with pain and dysfunction, Jason’s approach is intuitive and holistic. She holds a Masters of Science in Human Anatomy and Physiology Instruction granted by NYCC with Honors. She is also an alum of State University of New York at Cortland where she received a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology: Fitness Development and graduated magna cum laude along with other academic awards.
